![]() The handle to turn the water on almost came off the shower body. The bathroom was tiny where I practically had to straddle the toilet to shut the door. I chose not to have the cleaning service touch our room as we can do the few things we need to do (take out garbage, make beds and get towels) ourselves. The room itself was unfortunately outdated. Not huge sections, but enough to cut someone. One of the outdoor pools was missing tiles and some of the sides of the pool was missing sections. Once or twice a day, there should be a walk through picking these items up. ![]() I saw dirty towels, kids underwear and other garbage throughout the pool decks and pool areas and this is unacceptable. I know that there is a cleaning crew out first thing in the morning cleaning the pool decks and pools but that is it. The overall feel of the property was dirty and old/dated. I am going to try to be as fair as possible as I know that this is a beach resort and there are some things that come with the territory but some things really need to be fixed. I tend to think that I may have overlooked a few issues last year which is why I came back but unfortunately this was the last trip to Captain's Quarters. I have had 2 trips to the Captain's Quarters and the 2nd trip was unfortunately a disappointment compared to the first. Best of luck and thanks for a wonderful time! I am very interested in seeing if these changes are made with the same effort that was made in selecting management and customer service staff. 6) Bowling alley very cool! 7) We were on the 12th floor and never had an issue getting an elevator day or night! Captain's Quarters is in a process of change for the good. All guests were very nice and we all felt comfortable. Positives: 1) Poolside DJ and Karaoke awesome! Keep it everyday a must! 2) Breakfast buffet very good and awesome staff in restaurant! 3) Broadway on the beach, Boardwalk (a little "sketchy" at night), and Barefoot Landing all must visits for families! 4) Beach and pool water very comfortable. 5) Loco Gecco restaurant needs to keep floors clean. Permitted only on beach!" 4) Inform former guests about changes and possibly offer incentive for a return visit. 3} Change poolside sign to read "NO coolers permitted out side of room. 2) Silicone around all sliding door and window frames in rooms to deter any possible bug from entering rooms. Replace with not slip paint (hallways) and tile in rooms. Suggestions: 1) Remove all outdoor hall carpeting as well as any in rooms. Issues included only one large bug siting (not a roach), One day no maid service, and final day small cooler issue. The managers and staff were very attentive and more than willing to happily and professionally help. ![]() I spoke with management and was assured that any concerned would be addressed without haste. I will say after reading previous reviews, before we left for our long drive from Jersey, my wife and I were a bit concerned.
